What is stone veneer? Is it made of real stone?
Each stone in our specially crafted stone veneer lines is cast from ingredients derived from natural stone: a unique blend of Portland cement, iron oxide color pigments and lightweight aggregate. The result is a product that looks, feels and lasts likes natural stone—but that is easier to install.
For what types of applications is stone veneer best suited?
Heritage stone products are ideal for new construction, restoration and refurbishing—residential and commercial, but it can be applied to any structurally sound surface.
Are there any guidelines for choosing a particular style over another?
Always consider the mortar color when making any stone selection, as it affects the finished appearance of the installation. Note: All “Drystack” styles have no mortar. For exterior appli-cations, Heritage Stone recommends grouting stone in areas subject to extreme freezing and thawing.
Will some variations in color occur?
Yes. Just as with natural stone, some variations in color can be expected in stone veneer products. By pulling stone from different boxes/pallets during installation, and blending them on the wall, any color variation would actually enhance the look of the finished product.
What’s the best way to clean the stone veneer?
Use a mild solution of warm water and tri-sodium phosphate with a stiff plastic bristled brush. Be sure never to use acid to clean the stone.
How long should I plan for delivery?
Allow 2 weeks when possible.
Is Heritage Stone veneer covered by a warranty?
Yes, it is backed by a 30-year limited warranty.
